Festival of the Living Rooms is a quarterly 3 day festival of music, primarily focusing on the music of the filk community.

HISTORY:

Festival of the Living Rooms began in March, 2020 as a happy accident. In response to Consonance being cancelled at the last minute due to COVID, several of us were planning to do online concerts, including myself and Summer Russell. I suggested we coordinate our times so we wouldn’t conflict, and Summer suggested it be a virtual festival. I thought that was a good idea, and somehow, a 3 day music festival happened with less than two weeks of planning.

At first, it happened every two months. The first Festival was mostly on Facebook (it moved around. Some people used YouTube), with evening circles on Zoom.

The second festival was on Zoom, and it’s been that way ever since. It changed to every 3 months in 2022.

Terms of Service

Festival of the Living Rooms is a free service. It is provided for the entertainment and education of the science-fiction/fantasy and related communities. The requirement to participate in this service is that the participants have a link to the community in some way. Participants are expected to abide by the Festival's Code of Conduct.

Privacy Policy

We take our attendees privacy seriously, and on request, we will remove you from our database. The only personal information we have is your login and e-mail address. And we will remove it all if requested, and confirmed.

On deletion request, we will require a copy of a government-issued ID in order to verify that this request comes from the person requesting deletion.

By giving a preferred e-mail address, you consent to be placed on a mailing list for Festival notifications. You may request to be removed from this list at any time, but we will retain your login e-mail address for administrative communications.
